Nathan Whittingham
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Nathan founded Clyde Avenue Advisory in 2017. Backed by 15 years of mid-tier and commercial accounting experience, Nathan’s passion for problem-solving and contributing to the success of businesses formed the basis of our firm. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy and International Business from the University of Wollongong, Nathan began his business advisory journey, accumulating valuable experience at prominent firms both nationally and internationally. He furthered his education to attain his Chartered Accountant qualification and Certificate of Public Practice from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. He is also a Registered Tax Agent and Justice of the Peace.
With a wealth of cross-industry experience and extensive understanding of effective business operations, Nathan envisioned and established Clyde Avenue Advisory. He identified a market gap and aimed to fill it by providing customised financial solutions for challenges facing small to medium-sized business. His mission is to aid other companies in flourishing and achieving their goals, leveraging unique insights garnered throughout his career. For Nathan, it’s not just about imparting knowledge. Clyde Avenue Advisory holds fostering strong working relationships in high regard, and Nathan guides the team to work alongside ambitious business owners on their journey to success.

Tom Pinson
Tom Pinson is a 2015 University of Wollongong graduate with Distinction. He is currently pursuing a Master of Professional Accounting at the same institution while boasting a five-year tenure at Clyde Avenue Advisory. With a background in accounting, computer science and operations, he excels in addressing compliance requirements and providing strategic consulting solutions, showcasing a unique blend of technical proficiency and problem-solving acumen. Prior to joining the Clyde Avenue Advisory team, Tom enjoyed a semi-professional cricket career, affording him a diverse skillset and broad industry experience. With commitment to excellence and a strategic mindset honed through academic and professional experiences, Tom stands as an asset in navigating complex business landscapes.

April Manilag
April brings a wealth of local and multinational expertise to the Clyde Avenue Advisory team. Possessing a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting from the University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu, Philippines, she has honed her skills in bookkeeping and compliance. Her professional background encompasses many accounting positions, successfully navigating industries including manufacturing, film and entertainment, and oil and gas. With over three years dedicated to Australian accounting standards and practices, April’s expertise assists in ensuring our excellent standards are upkept.

Elsa Mayrina
Elsa holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Business Management from Holy Angel University, Philippines, bringing over fourteen years of professional experience across diverse industries. Elsa’s expertise spans executive assistance, human resources, administration, and secretarial roles. Her rich background extends across various industries, both nationally and internationally, including technology, manufacturing, construction and mining, real estate, and hospitality. Elsa’s strengths lie in organisation, problem-solving, and management, complemented by her strong communication skills and adaptability. Continuously recognised for her efforts, she plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office.

Maree Spalding
With over 19 years of experience in mid-tier accounting firms, Maree brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insight to clients across a wide range of industries. Known for a meticulous yet pragmatic approach, she has built a reputation for delivering tailored financial and strategic advice that drives measurable results. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Business (Commercial Law) from the University of South Australia, she further advanced her professional expertise by becoming a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). This strong educational foundation is matched by hands-on experience across sectors including manufacturing, professional services, property, and retail. She is particularly skilled in business advisory, financial reporting, compliance, and taxation, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by small to medium enterprises. Whether guiding clients through complex regulatory environments or helping streamline business operations, Maree is committed to delivering high-quality, client-focused outcomes.

Joshua Ocampo
Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting from Angeles University Foundation in Angeles City, Philippines. Working as a tax accountant directly after finishing his studies, he has developed skills in tax preparation and compliance. Having a professional background in several accounting duties, he brings in a diverse skill set that is vital in aiding clients with differing needs. With his keen interest in continuously improving his skills and his understanding of the intricacies of tax and accounting, he has proven his commitment to uphold a high standard of service in providing value to clients.

Sheila Quarta
Sheila brings over a decade of experience in human resources, payroll, and office management, supporting businesses across the manufacturing, construction, engineering, banking, and finance sectors. With a sound foundation in compliance and operational support, she provides practical HR advisory services to Clyde Avenue Advisory’s clients, while also overseeing the firm’s internal operations.
Previously serving as HR Manager for a mid-tier chartered accounting firm, Sheila managed the full scope of HR and payroll functions, including recruitment, onboarding, award interpretation, performance management, and employee relations. She has extensive experience in workplace compliance, handling matters such as workers’ compensation claims, disciplinary processes, grievances, and redundancy procedures.
Sheila has led successful implementation projects for HR and payroll systems, ensuring alignment with Fair Work obligations and industry standards. She is also certified in Work Health and Safety, Xero, and MYOB, and has contributed to Quality Assurance accreditation through her work in HR documentation and compliance. Known for her clear communication and practical approach, Sheila is a trusted advisor to clients seeking reliable and compliant HR and payroll support.

Alex Woods
Alexander is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Economics at the University of New South Wales, maintaining a Distinction average and earning an invitation to the Accounting Honours program. In 2024, he achieved podium finishes in both the Nespresso Case Competition and the Trans-Tasman Case Competition, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In his role as a Junior Accountant, Alexander focuses on delivering client-centred solutions, drawing on a foundation in economics, accounting, and finance. His blend of academic achievement, consulting experience, and competitive success reflects a commitment to excellence and a drive to add value in dynamic business environments.
